Babies 0-2

Infants are unique and have their own patterns for play, feeding and sleeping.

We use these patterns as our guide to introduce daily activities that will prepare your infant for life. Our highly trained teachers and staff offer a nurturing and creative environment for infants to develop their bodies and minds. We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child.

Developed for our youngest learners, the Infant Curriculum at Kidzplay provides the foundation that can develop the children of today into the leaders of tomorrow.

Kidzplay Infant Program Features

  • Building of self-esteem through nurturing personal care

  • Interaction with groups to spark curiosity and socialization

  • Focus on cognitive and motor skills through playtime and activities

  • Development through age-appropriate materials and toys

  • Regular communication between teachers and parents to keep you informed about your child's day

The experiences infants have during the early months and years of life are crucial to healthy brain development. Lots of personal attention and interaction between our teachers and your infant will promote basic cognitive and social skills. Singing, reading and talking are just some of the behaviours that support development during this critical stage.

  • Physical development of coordinated motor skills is a large part of an infant’s first year. Kidzplay development activities help build physical strength and motor coordination with daily experiences that allow infants to practice fine-motor skills, hand/eye coordination, hand and full body movement, and more.

  • Infants begin to use and integrate their senses right away to explore their new world. Through sense activities, children use one or more of their developing senses related to memory, spatial orientation, and case and effect.

  • Language and communication development is most profound during a child’s first three years of life while the brain is developing and maturing. Kizplay activities help develop skills in an environment rich with sounds, sights and consistent exposure to speech and language.

  • Feelings of confidence, ride, trust, friendship, and humour are all part of social-emotional development. Making Friends activities promote early social interactions and conversations, develop facial expressions to communicate, and support self-identity.

“Kidzplay West is a wonderful centre. The staff made the transition of putting my only child in full-time care at 8 mths old as stress free as possible. Genuine & passionate staff with excellent facilities. We’ll be a Kidzplay family until my son starts school.”
